Find an adviser

Find a financial adviser in New Zealand, one who's already been vetted

Tell us what you're trying to sort (KiwiSaver, mortgage, insurance, retirement) and where you are, and we'll introduce you to a vetted adviser who handles exactly that. The intro is free, and nobody sees your financial data unless you say so.

How it works

What to expect (and how we vet)

  1. 1

You tell us what you need.

Two minutes: your goals, your region, a line or two about your situation.

  2. 2

We route you to the right practice.

Every adviser in our network is a licensed NZ practice we’ve vetted. We check registration, talk to the principals, and only keep partners whose clients come back happy. If someone stops meeting the bar, they’re out.

  3. 3

They contact you for a free intro chat.

No obligation, no fee for the introduction, no hard sell. If it’s not a fit, tell them (or tell us) and that’s the end of it.

Your SortMe data stays yours. If you're a SortMe user, an adviser sees your financial picture only if you grant it, and you choose the level, full or summary, with two-tier access controls. You can change or revoke access any time. Not a SortMe user? Nothing to share; the intro works fine without it.

Get matched

Get matched in two minutes

Skip the browsing. Answer three questions and we'll pick the right practice for you.

We'll only use these details to arrange the introduction. SortMe is not a licensed financial advice provider; the practice you're matched with is.

Inside SortMe

Already using SortMe? Your adviser path is built in

As SortMe reads your accounts it surfaces the moments where a product or a professional would change the outcome. An uninsured risk in Protection, a fixed rate about to roll off, a KiwiSaver fund worth a second look in Growth, a goal the Cashflow Forecast says will land late. Each one arrives with a "what should I do next?" card and a warm handoff to a vetted adviser when you want one. Your data's already connected, so you decide in one tap exactly what the adviser gets to see.

Not on SortMe yet? The average user finds $2,371 in savings, and if you don't save $500 in your first 30 days, you get your money back.

Questions about getting advice

Does the introduction cost anything?
No. The intro chat is free and there’s no obligation. If you go on to engage an adviser, their fees (or commission structure) are between you and them, and they’ll disclose everything up front, as NZ law requires.
How does SortMe vet advisers?
We only partner with licensed NZ practices, we check registration and talk to the principals before listing anyone, and we keep listening afterwards. Practices that don’t look after the people we send them are removed.
Will the adviser see my SortMe data?
Only if you grant it. Two-tier access controls mean you choose full picture or summary, and you can change or revoke access any time. If you’re not a SortMe user, there’s nothing connected and the intro works the old-fashioned way.
What kinds of advisers are in the network?
KiwiSaver and investment advisers, mortgage advisers, insurance advisers and retirement planners, across NZ regions. Many work fully online.
Does SortMe get paid for introductions?
Some partner practices participate in our partner programme. It never changes what you pay, and it never decides who we match you with. Fit does.
Is SortMe itself giving me financial advice?
No. SortMe surfaces your data and flags things worth a look; regulated financial advice comes from the licensed advisers we introduce you to.
I’m outside the main centres. Can I still get matched?
Yes. Most partner practices work online with clients anywhere in New Zealand. Pick "Happy to work online" in the form.
